Tinted glass is made by adding small amounts of metal oxide to the glass composition. This alters the transmission of solar energy and modifies the colour without changing the basic properties of the glass.
Tempered glass is a heat absorbing glass, and this is different altogether. Color pigmentation can be added during the tempering process to give it the bronze or grey or other color tint that a customer chooses.
There are 5 advantages of tinted glass
- Energy efficiency
- Sun protection
- Improved security
- Increased privacy
- Low-maintenance
